Notes |
- Thomas was commissioned second lieutenant in the 10th Virginia Regiment, 2 Dec 1776, and first lieutenant, 30 Oct 1777. This became the 6th Virginia Regiment in which he served until taken prisoner at Charleston, SC, 12 May 1780. He was later wounded at Quinby's Bridge, SC. He was an original member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
