  Notes	At this time, we know of seven children of Jehan Latrobe and Plazen Albépar, presumably all of them since their dates of birth are placed at regular intervals from around 1565 to 1576. Note that the parochial registers for recording the christenings, marriages and burials only started around 1567 in this area which is the reason why nothing can be found about the christenings of the first two children.

  The christening was recorded among the first in the Protestant records. His godfather was Mr. Hélye Demonte, bachelor of law, of Finhan. About 1614 he was a clerk (practicien) in Monbéqui.64 As there were two Hélye Latrobes, the young brother of Bertrand, born in 1569, and hisfirst cousin, son of Mathieu Latrobe, born about 1560, there is a problem distinguishing between the two. Both were living in the late 1500's and early 1600's in the Montauban area; both were royal notaries; neither had nicknames, but they did live in different places. Each time the place of Monbéqui was cited, we have considered that this Hélye Latrobe was Bertrand's brother. When another place was cited (either St Etienne de Tescou or Campsas), then we have considered that this Hélye Latrobe was the son of Mathieu Latrobe. #116 to #120 (1602) show that in the early 1600's Hélye Latrobe, the son of Mathieu, was royal notary in Campsas. Hélye Latrobe, Bertrand's brother, was the third son of Jehan Latrobe and Plazen Albépar. Although there are in the archives a lot of citations about a Hélye Latrobe, it is quite sure that most of them relate to his first cousin, son of Mathieu Latrobe and Géraude Calsier, who was a royal notary and, it seems, a key figure of Campsas. Bertrand's brother is referred to as a clerk in #190 (1614): we may imagine that he then worked with his older brother, Jehan Latrobe, who had succeeded their father as royal notary of Montbartier.
