To start things off, I'm currently at 19967 people in my tree. I haven't done much (of anything) on this site in the last 6 months, but I've still been adding names to the genealogy. A thank you goes out to everyone who's been contacting me with changes and updates. Speaking of changes, I just upgraded to Windows 7, and it's not going to have any of the problems Vista had. |

Welcome to LATROBEFAMILY.com. Until I figure out how to drive this thing just click on the Genealogy button above. This site represents my latest efforts to publish my entire family tree online. I am currently using Family Tree Maker, The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding, and Joomla. The top 5 surnames in my tree are: Chew, Claiborne, Eareckson, Latrobe/La Trobe, Purviance. |

I just received an email inquiring about the old LatrobeFamily.com and all its data. The old site consisted of a descendant report of the oldest know Latrobe broken up into about 1200 html pages. It was very time consuming to create and update. I couldn't make any additions without re-generating and uploading all 1200 pages. If I wanted to show the descendants of another of my ancestors, it could have required just as many html pages, even though there were bound to be some duplication. The new site lets you generate ancestor and descendant trees for any individual, and I currently have 19465 instead of the 4000 on the old site. All of the information from the old site can be found here, but instead of being listed in one long report you have to click on each individual or family. I'll look into a way to show descendant reports similar to what appeared on the old site. |
